Hi Rafael. There is so much to do on the Outer Banks, it would be tough to fit it all into one week, ...hopefully there's a hidden gem or two here for you.

The best water park is the beach and everything water related, surfing, fishing, bodyboarding, visiting the piers, sandcastles, etc. The soundside is often forgotten, but it's also a fun way to get in the water, and very calm for children.

Shopping, there is a great outlet mall in Nags Head with a variety of top name brands...and great deals! There are also a lot of great local shops and art galleries with great OBX flavor.

Almost all of the local restaurants have delicious food, but here are a few highlights in the Nags Head area...Blue Moon Grill, Tortuga's Lie, Lucky 12, Lone Cedar, Red Drum, and just about any other restaurant you drive by...including a great breakfast overlooking the ocean at Nags Head Pier.

Jockey's Ridge is a great place to burn some energy running on giant dunes, and one of th best spots to watch a sunset....you should also consider a hang gliding lesson while you're there (KittyHawk.com). Jockey's Ridge also offers some great free activities to experience the local environment. Here's their website: http://jockeysridgestatepark.com/pro…

The aquarium in Manteo is a quick ride and a great way to spend 1/2 a day, and downtown Manteo is a quaint waterside village with great shops, art, and restaurants. If you're here on the first Friday of the month, downtown Manteo has a fun celebration aptly named "First Friday."

A 30 - 40 minute ride to Corrolla and you will find wild horses, a lighthouse, the Whalehead Club (fun summer music and wine tastings, website: http://whaleheadclub.org/) and a Nature Center with great programs about the local environment and animals.

A quick ride south, and you'll find the Bodie Island lighthouse and the Hatteras National Seashore with an abundance of nature and empty beaches...Pea Island is a great spot to pull over on the side of the road, hop over the dunes and find a beach all to yourself.

Have fun!

Try Wilmington, Carolina Beach or Wrightsville Beach

Family decides to go there because there are no theme parks or big malls. They go there to enjoy the sun, sand and sea. And, there's always the OBX ponies you could go watch, or check out the sea birds, turtles and there's lots of sea life there. Learn to dive, there are ship wrecks off the coast. Learn to para-sail... lotsa wind on the OBX.

LIfe is what you make it. Get involved. Leave all your little boxes and games at home and immerse yourself in nature for a change.

There's a skate park there if you're into that type of stuff. There's a pretty cool community pool out on the beach forgot its name though. Really if you get bored it's just fun to explore places like Corolla Light or Tim Buck II
