How do you send money through online banking?

Ok so my finace is in a different city right now for work, and im low on money alone for our bills and he can send me money but hes with bank of montreal and im with cibc, how can he transfer me money through that? add me as a payee? if so what info of mine does he need to add me as one, or what someone please help...

You can look at your bank's website for "ACH Transfer". If they do not offer this you will need to go into your local bank office and have them do it. You can also use Western Union online, or Paypal.
