Does anyone know of a U.K. bank account that allows international money transfers to be done online ?I am looking for a bank that allows me to transfer money to international bank accounts for a reasonable fee and preferably online so I don't need to wait for the bank to open. Presently my choices are Paypal, Western Union or paying my bank excessive amounts and waiting ages for funds to clear etc | |
Almost all major UK banks offer online international money transfer services. Its true that some charge high fee, but there are exceptions like BoS and HSBC.
I'm not sure if you have checked with WU, but their charges are quite high as well. With Paypal you may end up paying for inward transfer at the receiving bank.

Halifax allow you to transfer money using their online halifax international payment services for a fee of £9.50. Natwest also allow international transfers online and they allow you to book an exchange rate for the transfer but am unsure of the fee.
Im have a 2 accounts with hsbc and halifax that i rarely use and everytime i log on to internet banking and it gives me the option to transfer money to other countrys online.

You should choose any online money transfer company that is secured and technologically adept to handle fraudulence. Look out for certificates on their websites and also ask your friends who have already doing online money transfers about which company you should opt for.
