Will I be able to get money from my own bank account by using a bank that I'm not a member of?

I have an NC bank and I'll be back in the US over christmas (in Kentucky), but I might not have my debit card with me when I go. Will I be able to withdraw cash from my NC bank through a KY bank, like for a fee or something? anyone have any experience with this?

I dont think so. I worked for wells fargo and if you were not a customer and you intended to get money from a different bank and you dont have an acct with wells you are screwed. You could be a risk to the bank unless you do cash advance from a credit card that is not from that bank you could pull cash but you will have a fee. Let me tell you that if you intend to pull money from NC bank through KY bank and you dont carry your debit card how are you going to have access to your acct number or routing number, matter fact how can you prove to KY bank that you have an acct with NC if you dont have a debit card????? makes no sense to me bro.

If your account is with a large bank, such as B of A or Wells Fargo that has offices in KY. Normally they can look up your name and verify your account number. I've gone to AZ to withdraw money out of my ID account, but it was with the same bank. I'd be sure to have my debit card with me. Then you can go to an ATM that is in the same system as your card and withdraw money there. There is a fee, but that's about the only way you'd get any money. Banks can't access account information from another bank. Another way would be if you are visiting friends or family, you could always write them a check and have them go to the bank where they do business and cash it using their account for recourse.

You will not be able to exchangee your cheque for cash but you can sent it for collection which will need time for the cheque to be cleared and cash at a KY bank.

Yes you will but with a fee.The fee depends from the network and the bank.It is not high but could be a couple of us dollars per transaction.
