Where can I find a pet food bank in Long Beach Ca.?My hours have been cut drastically and I have 2 dogs that are 3 years old sisters. I've had them since they were 6 weeks old. I've never heard of pet food banks. But maybe you could ask local churches for help or put an ad on craigslist and ask for food donations. It's probably gonna be very hard though because it's not neccessary, as food for YOU would be. You will most likely be adviced to rehome your dogs. Unfortunately for many people dogs are just things that you can easily get rid of. They don't understand that for most dog owners their dogs are family members. I respect you for trying hard to get food for your babies somehow instead of just getting rid of them!!! I live in VA, otherwise I would stop by and bring you a bag of dogfood.

I dont know of any pet food banks.. there's not many around.
You can buy in bulk.. its cheaper than smaller bags.
Also check with stores, they may be willing to sell you a bag that was accidently opened for cheaper, as opposed to throwing it out and logging it as a loss.

sorry there are no food banks for dogs. If you cannot afford to keep them the best thing would be to rehome them.
People and companies donate food to animal shelters, so I suppose you could at least call a local shelter and see if they can help you.
