Go to the pier and learn to fish. If you don't know anything about fishing ask in the pier house. They will be happy to rent you a rod and reel and get you started. You might like it. And don't mind asking other fishermen questions; believe me we like to spread our knowledge around. Whey you're hungry go across the highway to Nino's Pizza. Nino is a genuine Italian and does all the cooking himself. Then take a ride 7 miles down to the lighthouse and see if your legs can handle climbing to the top. In the evening you can go up to Rodanthe (20 miles) and drive go carts and all sorts of other things at the water park. You'll pass it on the way to Avon. Be sure to ride the FREE ferry from Hatteras Village over to Blackbeard's Island (Ocracoke). That's a lot of fun. In Rodanthe the Chicamacomico Life Saving Station is also fun. Find out when they do the demonstration. Wherever you go take plenty of bug repellent and have fun! The Outer Banks is a great place for fun in the sun.
