What bank(s) give you the most interest for the least extra fees?Chase and Wells Fargo have a checking fee and PNC has all kinds of fees for crap such as withdrawing from your account more than three times in one month. My biggest priority is no fees, but my second priority is high yield (interest). Are there any banks out there like that? Preferrably near Lafayette, Indiana. | |
Online banks like ingdirect.com have the fewest buildings and pay the most interest on checking and savings. If a bank has lots of buildings, I don't have an account there.
I would say go for a small, local credit union or something similar. Also, BB&T is the best I've heard. Or City National.

Bank of America
Wells Fargo
The BIG BANKS are the ones to stay away from.
