Looks like wiring is the only option you have.
Ask the recipient to get the information about how his/her account can be wired to. Typically he/she should ask a representative of his/her financial institute to be sure.
After you get this info, give your bank the info. and authorize them to wire $6500. There typically is a fee for you.

Here is the example from etrade.com. (The receiving account is with Etrade, the recipient should give you something like this)

To wire money to your E*TRADE Bank account:

1. Contact your other financial institution and ask them to wire funds to your E*TRADE Bank account, or print out and complete our incoming wire form.
2. Provide your other financial institution with:
* The amount you want to wire
* The receiving institution information:

E*TRADE Bank
P.O. Box 1542
Merrifield, VA 22116-1542
ABA transit routing number 256072691

* Account number (if a new account, use your social security number instead)
* Social security number of the primary account holder
* The name, address, and phone number of the primary account holder
* Account type and term (one-year CD, money market, etc.)

Where's my scooby snack?

You can either...

Get the money order (from the post office) or a cashier's check (from your bank)

Or just wire the recipient the money.

You should check with the recipient which payment would be acceptable or preferred.
