Make an appointment with the branch manager. Have your legal paperwork including the official death certificate with you. Open a separate account in the name of the trust, deposit the check in it.

As was said, take your trust paperwork, along with a death certificate to the manager of the bank, you MAY be able to get it straightened out quickly.

Even with a trust, you may still need the services of a good probate attorney. Consider sitting and talking with one.
