Ocean city, outer banks, or virginia beach?My bf and I are looking for some place to go on vacation this summer. We've been to ocean city and don't know if we want to go back or try someplace new? What would be your choice? Please include some fun things to do there and places to eat if you wouldn't mind. Just trying to get some good ideas thanks!! | |
No brainer here for me! Outer Banks!! I like the one suggestion about "The Lost Colony" Also, go on down to Ocracoke Island. You have to take a ferry from Cape Hatteras to Ocracoke. Or you can take a ferry from the mainland at Swans Quarter. Ocracoke is one of our favorite destinations. The beaches on the island are part of the National Park System and, as such, are not commercially developed and are in pristine condition. In addition, the little village of Ocracoke is a quaint, cool little place that has interesting restaurants, nice places to stay and just general fun! This is where BlackBeard roamed in his day.

Outer Banks - Google OBX NC and you'll get lots of information. One thing you must do is go and see "The Lost Colony" outdoor drama on Roanoke Island. It plays six nights a week from early June through mid August. Google that, too!
I like ocean city also (md) but why not try New Jersey's Ocean City it is way cleaner than Atlantic City and the people are friendly.
