When the Czechs sign the Lisbon Treaty in a few days it wont matter as they are the last ones to sign. The EU will then have full control.

The Banks, the UK and you will cease to exist. Everything will be turned over to the EU and we wont have say in it!

Don't believe me? Then read this. Especially the bit about the Banks!

This is an attempt to falsely criticise the EU. I am no fan of this wasteful organisation but incorrect criticism does not help improve it.

The UK is a sovereign nation which has agreed to some control by the supranation control by the EU in some areas. One of these is competition policy, which is natural since Thatcher agreed with our joining the single market back in the 80s.

The EU has allowed the UK to split Northern Rock into a good bank and a bad bank. There is a danger that the good bank will have an unfair competitive advantage over other banks in the UK and EU. In fact, the takeover of Northern Rock and, in particular, the merger of Lloyds and HBOS are in fact breaking UK competition policy.

The competition commission is one of the better parts of the EU and stops politicians disregarding the need in a free market economy to prevent unfair competition.

Find out what the EU should be criticised for and then make statements.
