SouthBank http://southbank.com is a bank - not a university.

South University http://southuniversity.edu is a university.

South University in Savannah and West Palm Beach is listed by US News and World Reports as "unranked school" -- not a good sign of a "good university".

They're accredited by SACS though and that's what you want out of a legit university in the southern states. SACS is the regional accredited for the region and they are among the better respected regional accreditors. So, the university is indeed legit - even though not ranked by US News.

Several of their programs (particularly in health fields) have additional specialized accreditation and their paralegal program is ABA accredited. The business school is not AACSB accredited.

Generally speaking - they fall in the category with all of the other non-descript, non-famous universities in the country, somewhat above those with a clearly bad reputation (such as the "as seen on TV" for-profits) but a touch lower than or maybe equal to the small secondary campuses of your state U such as 'University of Your State - East Podunk'. Most HR types will assume them to be about a tier-4 and some will consider them to be lower simply because US News ranks them as "unranked". Reality is that they may (or may not) be better than a tier 4 but there's no way for HR to know that.
