I think the best thing that you could do is stop spending too much unnecessarily. And since you are still in college you better concentrate on your studies, then get your life started with business or any job that you want to do and help your parents as much as you can with your earnings. You can then think about marriage as well.Hope you do well in life.Good luck!

are your parents paying that $1400 for you and is it on credit cards?

Credit cards are supposed to be used for emergencies only or on clothes to get started for work. You are still young and educating yourself so you should be studying hard and staying away from spending on college girls and friends, expensive clothes and dinners until you get your career and are earning great money. Some people are in their early 30's today who get married so you have yet some time. When people know you have money or will spend on them then they are your friends but when you have no money or don't spend on them they they are not your friends and will walk away. So why waste your money on fair weather friends???

The economy is such that you should not totally pay off your credit card or the company will close it for you, and that's not good. But pay more than the minimum payment to bring it down if it is high.

Most people in the US have no savings at all. If you have $6300 then you are way ahead of the game. Home onto that, save it for a home wherein you will need a 20% downpayment. And later when you have a career and are earning well then buy an inexpensive home in a nice area and fix it up, remodel it instead of buying a very expensive home.

What you are paying in rent is an ok figure.

It costs money to start your own business but college students, no matter what age work part time in restaurants, at pizza shops, as runners for legal offices, in warehouses, in telemarketing, etc. while they are schooling and that's what I suggest you do.

Do not decide on a partner until you've completed college, gotten into a specialty and have your career job for a few years at least.

I was in real estate for ten years and it's an extremely competitive business and at least at the present time all you need is high school to take the course at the community college. It's suggested that you get a real estate license before you try for your brokers license. I found that if you have not lived in the area where you become a broker all your life or married to someone who has then you will have a tough time getting people to use your services. As a broker, as you know, you'd be an independent contractor but must live by the laws of the state and can only work in the state you are licensed in. Since real estate people are independent contractors they must make at least 6 buys/sells per year starting out and they earn from their own business the first year of $35,000. With your degree you could be making a lot more.

I suggest you go to a university instead of to a business college.

Spending Rs.70000/-pm.,renting apartment of 12500/- p.month, alongwith a bank balance of 3.50 lacs is not bad.Why don't you first get married,so that yr.spending on girlfriends & to an extent on boyfriends is reduced drastically.I don't see any fun in going to UK for graduation,if you want to set-up yr.Real Estae Broker business in India, better start it, as everything requires some exp.& time,so by the time you finish yr.graduation in India, you will start earning good money in yr.business.This is my advise, the final decision depends on u solely.Best of Luck.
