j/k, maybe check out washington mutual...I myself have credit union with the same atm problem, I don't like Bank of America and was thinking of opening a 2nd account at WAMU. I see WAMU atm's everywhere which is why I wanna set up an account there. check them at at wamu.com. Have you seen their commercials? They're funny, with all the corporates inside red velvet ropes having heart attacks and stuff when the guy mentions free checking! they're hilarious!

I would use a local Credit Union, better rates on loans and more of a sense of working for you. Not quite sure where you live but for 100% positive sure stay away from Bank of America and UMB. ESPECIALLY on credit cards, they are both notorious for giving the screw to their customers along with, in my opinion, sub-par customer service.

Keep an account with your credit union for the benefits, then keep a checking account with a few hundred dollars (or whatever works for you) in WaMu or Union Bank. UB is growing, and WaMu is all over the place. I HATE HATE HATE BofA.

Do a search according to your zip code. In the search engine type bank branches in zip code -----.

You can cull the list according to the listed criteria above. Remember if the bank says the account is free, there are still some requirements like a minimum balance, an active account, age related accounts. So once you have chosen the banks that interest you, see the floor manager for specifics. Bank of American and Wachovia deduct fees for accounts dormant after a few months.

Even large national banks like BOA do not have branches in certain areas. When you type in the name of the city and bank, a map will show their areas of concentration.
