Well a few things. Everyone here is just trying to help. Calling them names isn't accomplishing anything. The saying 'more flies with honey' applies here.

The fact that you even know the acronym GTA scares me. I had to look it up and my husband is a police officer, so I thought I knew the majority of police acronyms. They won't file that against you because you didn't steal the car. Don't worry about that.

I would imagine that your friend is about your age. Meaning that he's a minor too. The ultimate decision will be his parents as far as what will be done. The bending of the axle IS your fault. It wouldn't have happened had you not gotten the car stuck. At this point all you can do is sit back and wait for his parents decision on what all you're paying for. You're going to be monitarily endebted to them for quite some time.

For having never been in trouble, you're sure asking for a l-o-t of trouble. Smoking underage and driving without a license. Those are both pretty serious in my state. In Texas smoking underage will have you lose your licensing priveledges until you're 18.

The police will just smile and wish your friend's parents good day when they try and have you charged with grand theft auto. There is no evidence that you took the vehicle without permission so that particular threat is an empty one. As for the damages it was your actions that got the vehicle stuck in the first place, so any subsequent damages occurring trying to get the vehicle unstuck are also your responsibility. You and your parents better start figuring out a way to pay for the damages.

wow, YOU are putting fault all the wrong place. YOU took a car, YOU got it stuck, "rednecks"(your saviors btw) gave YOU a yank, the axle is a pretty solid place to hook up(its meant to take weight) but the car was older and that preffered bending to getting pulled out(which also tells me YOU got the thing really stuck, "huge snow pile and i freaked out and tried getting it out and it didnt work"-YOU mean you spun the tires until it was sunk like the titanic). YOU disabled a licensed drivers vehicle from going back and forth. YOU better make things right or i see no problem charging you with GTA for them to be able to claim the insurance.

what the bleep are you looking for then, school is letting it slide, your(parents) paying for the damage YOU caused, yea they ll be pissed. woopity doo

Debbie did a wonderful job answering this - I would hope your friend would pay part of the repairs as he was responsible for enabling you and that was a stupid decision on his part but ultimately it was your series of poor decisions that caused the problem.

As far as the rednecks are concerned - good samaritans are not usually held responsible for damages when trying to help some one out.

Your not a kid any more, own up to your mistake and pay for the damages that are a direct result of your actions
