If the protesters in Oakland hated the banks, why didn't they cross over the Bay Bridge and occupy the front of the Wells Fargo headquarters or the area around the Nob Hill mansions? How much would Nancy Pelosi support OWS if they trashed Marin County the way they trashed Alameda County?

Sounds like agent provocateurs to me. The FBI did the same thing to the civil rights movement. That isn't a conspiracy theory either, it's a fact acknowledged by historians. I suspect the powers that be are up to their same old dirty tricks that they used in the past.
