Canada has extremely high taxes. I can't even imagine paying 13% tax on everything that the people in Ontario have to pay on everything. We have 6% in my state. Many Canadians go shopping in Erie,PA.
In Canada the citizens have strict socialistic controls on the banking system not allowing the banks to become loose cannons.
They are smart people.
