The account is in your name.

You need the account number and and I.D. Then you can go inside and ask the teller to take out $50 out of your account with the number XXXX. She will have you sign the usual withdrawal slip and hand you over the cash...

Only thing that could spoil this: Your father is co-signer of the account and made it clear to the bank that the only time money goes in or out is when he is present with you. This is a possibility because you are not an adult yet. But you could just ask Dad whether he has to be present if you want to take money out?

Each bank has their own rules, and I'm not personally familiar with yours. It could be that you must be whatever the states' "age of majority" is in order to withdraw cash. In some states, 15 or 16 may be the age of majority, in orthers it must be 18. It is still the banks perogative to establish their own rules.

Some banks offer more than one type of checking account. Ask for an account explanation pamphlet for the account type you and your dad have the next time you go to the bank. They should NOT have a problem providing it.

If your name is on the account, and the bank has you as a person who can sign on the account, then you can withdraw the money.
