It might be helpful but the problem has been there a long time and people manage OK.
We have a saying don't fix what isn't broken.
There is a Central bank. It is called the Bank of England.
They permit Scotland and Northerm Ireland to issue bank notes.
They do this because Scotland is a semi-independent country and the Irish, because they are frightened of them.
I agree, I have houses in England and Scotland and so I tend to spend the Scottish Money before I get to England again....shops do accept Scottish money, but are reluctant, Scotland is a very independant minded nation and would not take kindly to losing their ability to print their own notes....
