Will subjects in the Canadian part of Her Majesty's realm be free from work for a week-long bank holiday during the upcoming week-long Canadian tour of HRH Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex and his wife, HRH Sophie, the Countess of Wessex? Will towns, villages, and hamlets throughout Canada regale in the visit...

1. We don't call it a bank holiday.

2. No there won't be any holidays just because a couple royals come over here. Nor will there be 24/7 television coverage. Most of us don't care that much.

1. There is no such thing as a "Canadian part of Her Majesty's realm." It doesn't exist.

2. The visit of the Wessex's is a private visit, not a public one. It has nothing to do with the Government at all, and there are no planned "public" events.

3. There is never a bank holiday for a Royal visit, not even for a day, let alone a week. Even the UK doesn't do this.

No... no holiday and no street parties and no festivals and no 24/7 coverage. Only the royal watchers will be out.
I wasn't even aware they were visiting......nor do I care....=)
The British play a very small role in the true history of our nation......despite your rantings and ravings, you can't change that, no one can.

The majority of Canadians won't even notice they've been here. And wouldn't care regardless.
