best used car places are retirement villages and complexes. look for "must be over 55". ask about bulletin boards. check senior centers. post flyers if they'll let you.
plenty of older folk take very good care of their cars -- and the type of people whose car is repo'd don't usually take good care of it.
not to mention mileage. lots of older folk don't drive a lot and the kind of person whose car gets repo'd usually does.
