Trout, Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, Stripped Bass, and Channel Catfish.

I am a Florida fisherman so I have no experience with trout or stripped bass, but I am a professional Bass fisherman. Bluegill you can catch easy on the shore. Just use night crawler under a bobber.

With crappie you can use small jigs and lure that you might also catch bass and bluegill off of. With bass you have to experiment to see what is biting. Right now based off of fishing reports slow moving soft plastics and crank baits are working. The bass maybe deeper out since it is Winter but the few in pre spawn patterns will be hanging around shore or in off shore structure.

With catfish all you have to do is put a big piece of something that stink on your hook with a weight heavy enough that it stays on the bottom. The bait could be a piece of hotdog, a cut up bluegill, chicken liver and even a bunch of night crawlers. Leave the bait out until you get a bite.

I strongly recommend the heavy gear the stripped bass can get very large in that lake and fish for them as you would for bass or catfish large lures or stink baits work very well. If your going after the the smaller trout or other fish than a light weight rod and reel would do better for those fish. The rocky transition to sandy beach areas near the marina have always been producers for me (A). And the west side of the dam(B). The catfish is best in the cleghorn arm and the trout is best in the miller arm. Miller creek past the overflow group camping is stocked with trout when the water flows are good(C)You can park for cheaper on the highway above the dam with just a daily adventure pass,

Good Luck!
