Also what are spurs and interlocking spurs?

Please give a simple answer so I can understand as I am not that good at the 'Rivers' topic in geography.

A river bank is the land adjacent to a river.
Spurs are formed when a river meanders/wanders on its course to avoid harder rock.
A gorge is normally found in the upper reaches of the river where it carves a steep sided valley with litttle or no river bank.
A plunge pool is when a river flowing over hard rock suddenly comes to soft rock. The sofe rock is worn away forming a water fall and as the water falls over the edge of the hard rock it forms a plunge pool immediately at the foot of the falling water.
