It cost us way too much to do a bank transfer - can anyone here help us out with suggestions for another way of sending money to Poland from the USA? We'd really appreciate it. Thanks

i sent it via western union, and thru the ineternet. it's not very cheap but reliable, and cheaper than in a bank. i wouldn't recommend sending it via regular mail, it got lost NOT once! and using western union you have your money after a few minutes in the other part of the world! definitely western!!

I have used Western union its a bit cheaper than the bank but virtually instant, the collector only needs a passport and the transaction number, you can sms that.

Bank Zachodni is the main WU agent but there are many of them in every town.

I go to school in Poland and I lived in Canada. I still have my bank account in Canada, I just use my debit, credit card at the city bank or atm, thats all. Just make sure the bank knows you are in Poland otherwise they will think someone stole your card.

Western Union is probably your best choice. Don't send cash via mail because it may get stolen.. as it has happen to me countless times in the past.

Western Union- We use it all the time and they don't charge too much. ;-)
That's the best way to go for us. Good luck!
