To prove Name - one of the following;
-Full UK Driving Licence (paper or photocard and paper counterpart)
-Valid Full Passport or EU Member State ID Card
-UK based Bank or Building Society Statement*.
-HM Revenue & Customs Notice of Coding**
-Current benefit book
-Letter from Benefits Agency**
-Birth/Adoption certificate
(under 18’s only)
For proof of current address - one of the following
-Mortgage statement**
-Gas or electricity bill*
-Telephone bill (not mobile)*
-Water bill**
-Council tax bill**
* Must be less than 3 months old.
** Must be less than 12 months old.
Since you are on benefits, you can go to your local CAB, they can advise you what ID you need and what bank you can go to for opening an account, not all banks will open an account for people on benefit.
Driver's license, state ID, passport, utility bill.
I'm sure just a passport and 2 utility bills showing your address
Photo card driving licence & tennancy agreement / utility bills
