My family has vacationed in the Outer Banks for years. I don't know how old you are or if you have kids but there are lots of things to do. Fly a kite on the beach, got to Kitty Hawk to see the place where the Wright Brothers flew the first plane, go to Duck to shop Scarborough Square, go to Corolla and see the wild horses (you can rent 4 wheelers there too, thats a lot of fun) go to the Avalon pier and fish. Of course you are at the beach so sitting in the sun with a good book is always good. I hope you have a great time, it's one of my favorite places to vacation!
