What's a good romantic restaurant in New York City along the waterfront/harbor without breaking the bank?

I'm looking to take my girlfriend to a romantic dinner along the harbor/waterfront after a day together, but I also don't want to pay more than $50-60 for the two of us. Any help/opinions would be much appreciated!

For some reason there aren't that many restaurants on the water in Manhattan. There several at South Street Seaport including Heartland Brewery, Cabana and Roeblings. I have been to Heartland and Roeblings. Heartland isn't that expensive but it isn't too romantic. Roeblings is probably out of your price range.

Go to Citysearch.com to find out about Cabana -- seems like it might fit the bill if you like latin/mexican.

You can also just to the seaport and walk around restaurants usuall have menu's posted outside,

Try eating at any of the restaurants at the South Street Seaport. Affordable and with a great view. I'm sure you'll find something down there

Good luck...NYC is one of most expensive cities in the world...I would do a web search under some New York magazine and they might be able to suggest something.

I know the answer

boathouse cafe, central park. you may get by for cheaper at lunch.

there is also a less expensive restaurant at the 79th street boat basin (west side on the hudson) but I would not call it romantic.
