We purchased Continental flight tickets, what does bank statement usually show?

I know this question is odd. This is the first time we purchased from Continental. We are flying from Florida to Atlanta to Dayton. When I looked at our bank statement it has CONTINENTAL 6628561,ATLANTA GA. I see Continental headquarters is in Houston, so just curious why Atlanta would show up I would think it...

I find it interesting that you are connecting in Atlanta since that is where Delta is based and where AirTran has a hub. Only Delta and AirTran have non-stop flights from Atlanta to Dayton. Maybe the bank statement cut off most of the itinerary and only Atlanta showed up.

There is nothing unusual here, this is very common with big national or international companies that set up offices or operation sites in different areas or countries. We know when we call a hotline nowadays we're talking with people in India, Philippines etc. This is because different areas offer different advantages to their numerous business aspects, a call center in India saves more than half of labor costs while offering 24 hour services from English speakers who know about say computer. For Continental, their corporate headquarters is in Chicago where they can easily find business savvy executives, but they set up their processing center in Atlanta, Houston is a major hub for Continental.
