The main problem you have is that all this week services from Shenfield are not going into Liverpool Street, but terminating at Stratford. (http://nationalexpresseastanglia.com... However, this is not a great difficulty as you can catch the Central Line tube at Stratford. For the London Eye, I would suggest you change at the next Underground station. Mile End, on to a District Line service (cross platform interchange - but make sure you don't get a Metropolitan Line train) which will take you direct to Temple or Westminster for the Embankment and the London Eye (these stations are on the north bank of the river, the Eye on the South, but if you are going for the fireworks, that's ok)

The price with a London Travel Card add on (which you need for the Underground) is £14.80 (adult). Due to the engineering works there appears to be no difference between what you call the 'fast track', i.e Southend, trains and the slower stoppers. All journeys to Liverpool Street (including tube) are being shown at 45 minutes, It should, therefore, take you about an hour to get to the Embankment. Incidentally, there are 4 trains an hour back to Shenfield during the early morning hours.
