Should the British Government & Banks Compensate Blacks for the British Slave Trade?

The last omission was given to DR Robert Beckford, with a figure in excess of six trillion british pounds, that is with interest included, and that was several years ago, and the interest is going up daily since then. (see C4 documentary "British Slave Trade") this is owed to the sons of slaves, that in...

The past is the past, done and dusted,we have enough problems with mass immigration, useless banks, totally useless politicians, the demented idiots of the E.C.H.R,over population, social system collapse, hospitals under pressure, sub cultures growing within out culture like cancers, the legal system in chaos, the prisons in crisis et al,deal with the present.

The only ones entitled to any compensation by either the British or Americans are people who were actually enslaved, not their descendants. I don't believe anyone who was actually a slave is still alive and I doubt if very many of their children are even still alive. This would take money from people who never owned a slave and many who don't even slave ownership in their family histories and give it to people who were never slaves and some who don't have being slaves in their family history. By the way the programs you spoke of in the USA are not funded by the government they are funded through private donations.

Just one more thought if anyone owed compensation to these people it would be the people who captured their ancestors in Africa and sold them into slavery.

Jose Brazo

Absolutely NOT. Firstly, the blacks should be thanking God that they were given a free ride to America. Everyone else had to pay to get here.

Secondly, the blacks have benefited beyond belief by being thrown into an advancing White society where there have been no famines, education has been offered to every one for FREE. Schools, teachers, books, even rides to school, and meals. General welfare as written in the US Constitution has been redefined to mean handouts. Even affirmative action, one of the hated entitlements that Whites left behind in the 'old' country, has been foisted upon the Whites to try to give every advantage possible to the blacks. btw, an abject failure, as that Harvard professor has clearly shown.

Thirdly, if the blacks were so instrumental in building this advanced White society, why is there no such advanced society in Africa by the blacks? Every country run by blacks is poverty stricken, hand to mouth, corrupt, subject to the whims of nature, helpless as in famines, diseases, earthquakes, hurricanes( as in Haiti and New Orleans), etc.

Fourthly, 370,000 Whites died to free the black slaves in America.
Most people would show their appreciation for this huge (misguided?) effort by memorials of gratitude instead of dreaming up ways to gouge more out of the Whites. Ingrates?

You clearly don't understand the British class system.

Although blacks were used in British owned locations around the world, back in Britain it was the lowest classes that filled that position.
The "working class" were no better than slaves, they had no rights, no vote, no voice, should my family be compensated because for hundreds of years they were treated as skivvies by the upper classes?

There is a great compensation culture in place now, all lead by venal lawyers. They play on peoples sense of injustice and victimhood to get them to claim for anything they think they can get away with, racially motivated ambulance chasers.

Hell no. No blacks alive today were ever enslaved by Britain or the US, and no whites alive today perpetrated it. Such "compensation" would be an unjust giveaway of taxpayer money.

nope i dont think so,

even though it was a terrible thing the government would lose too much money, maybe billions

hope this helped
