Recently my CC# was stolen (I have destroyed the original card, I had the physical card and cancelled it) someone tried to buy $X amount of supplies from "SUREFIRE.COM" (military grade tactical gear, suppressors, gun magazine clips etc.) After that $400 + was charged to the same CC # in Canada @ a police...

Contact the bank and make sure that your cc is reported stolen and is therefore unusable to anyone. Ask them about the charges.

I would contest any charge that I did not make regardless of the amount. Then I would close that account and open a new one. The bank will help you with this. Some places won't take a prepaid card, but that might work for you anyway. I would handle this matter promptly.

Contact your bank immediately (Call the 800 number on the website/back of your card and report it as stolen or physically go to a branch and speak to a banker).

YES! Just had the same thing happen to me. My bank called and told me it was a fraud. Be careful more charges may occur as happened with me.
