Same check clearing twice from my bank account?O.k.I had a stupid parking viol;ation fine 30.54 from my home owners association it cleared my bank twice... once in aug and again yesterday. (good thing I check my account ) the bank credited my account, but cant tell me how this happened.. anybody have a answer | |
Probably the banks mistake.
I once had a similar situation.
They said they dropped the check and it fell under a table by mistake, and could not get it.
A month later someone found it and let ran it through my account.
Banks make mistakes constantly - some people don't even keep check registers and never notice these mistakes.
Why would anyone trust a bank.

If the bank can not answer the question, then why ask the people on Y/A?
wouldnt it make more sense to ask the bank and/or the people who the check was written out to?
it was just a mistake...human error- be gratefull you caught it
