Restaurants in NYC that won't break the bank?I am going to NYC for the weekend. We are staying at the Hampton on 34th street so we don't need breakfast, but we need lunch and dinner. I don't want to spend a lot just to eat. I need a place with good food that's up to $20 per person for dinner and up to $10 per person for lunch (give or take) Anyone... | |
There is a fabulous Peruvian restaurant on 100th street in Broadway called Flora de Mayo..............they have very good food that is reasonably priced............great atmosphere, professional waiters and staff and I love their Rotisserie chicken.
For dinner, there is a BBQ restaurant in Harlem on 125th street and 10th avenue, over by the Westside Highway called Dinosaur BBQ, their food is very very tasty, the drinks are inexpensive and good, however I think you have to make RSVP's.....google them both, you'll be happy you did................enjoy NYC and enjoy Your meals.
For Chinese go to Hyo Dong Gak on 35th between broadway and 5th Ave, its good for lunch or dinner but of course there are always lunch specials. I am very picky about where I get my Chinese food and have gone here numerous times. Since your so close to Korea Town (K Town) i think you should try the Korean BBQ on 32nd between broadway and 5th ave as well. I don't remember the name of the places but there are 2 that are really good, practically on the corner of 32nd and broadway.
If you want to try NY pizza head down to Lombardi's on Spring and Mott, you can get a large pie for $18, its a sit down place that serves all kinds of alcohol.
For cheap/health/great Mexican go to Lime Jungle on 53rd and 9th Ave. If you want more options let me know.
Pizza places have a great selection of food and there is always pizza. Delis are overpriced. I would agree with the poster that said Chilis and popular faranchise places.
i lived in NYC for 6 years and you cant get that manny places but if you try chillies and other chain restronts with good food but not to fance
