Reclaining bank charges.?I know its possible they will close your account after you claim back your charges but i have two accounts with my bank, current account and cash card account. wi;ll they close both accounts after claiming back on just one account? | |
I have been thinking about doing the same on my account, but i have an overdraft on it at the mokment, so i am going to wait until it is clear before I do it. It is stupid that they would close your account, they were the ones overcharging you so they were in the wrong. If I were you I would open an account with a different branch, just as a back up...
It couldn't hurt, you may get a better rate of interest anyway....

I had 2 accounts with Halifax when I started claim - they closed just this one where I claimed and after paid my charges back on other. Join my new Yahoo group (just created) - Claim Bank Charges Back on http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/bankchargesback/ - and post an email for more answers.

Why would the bank want to close your account? It just doesn't make any sense.
They may..talk to the manager to be sure. But if you have got charges back they can't close your account..I hope I understand your question.
