Rate your banks customer service centre?

I,m fed up with having to talk to indian customer service centres, so now I,m trying to find alternative banking. I need you assitance in advising me which bank has best all round service. but the bank must have a UK call centre !!!

The Co-operative bank and Natwest ARE JUST FANTASTIC!!!

Having suffered under the HALIFAX (spit) for years I decided to take my two current accounts elsewhere - and rather than take a risk I opened one with each of the above to see who was better!

Natwest GIVE YOU A PHONE NUMBER THAT RINGS INTO YOUR BRANCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I nearly fell on the floor when they told me! And if the branch is closed or doesn't answer in 7 rings it diverts to a Liverpool call centre. The great thing about this is if you call up with an enquiry and get through to the branch they can get all the paperwork ready - like I needed a bankers draft made up so I called the branch to see how much this would be (£12! - £25 with Halifax - spit) and by the time I had got down there the girl had drawn up the bankers draft and it was waiting for me!

I also have to give the Co-op credit although they aren't AS good as Natwest, I ALWAYS speak to someone in the UK and they are VERY efficient. I only say they are not as good as I have had to wait on the phone for three or four minutes to get through at very busy times, although in fairness the Halifax (spit) kept me holding for MUCH longer a number of times. The only other problem with the Co-op is there aren't many branches, not that I ever really need one, as you can do all your co-op banking through the post office.

First direct, they are very good 24hr on phone, internet account, can monitor all internet accounts you have with internetbanking plus, also if you are new member you get £50 incentive and £500 fee free overdraft,

stay away from Lloyds tsb and citibank and natwest
I will be taking lloyds tsb to court in 14 days if they do not return over £1000 of bank charges also the behaviour of account management staff at my local lloyds tsb branch was appalling the other day, walking around hysterically laughing and joking about with other members of staff in front of customers while they were waiting to get served and customers were on bank phones.

Yorkshire bank if your English & Clydesdale if your Scottish. I work for both and are based in Glasgow we also just won the best contact centre in Europe award.

I'm with the Woolwich which still has its call centres in Britain and very good Internet banking.

My bank has awesome customer service! If you have TD-Canada Trust there, go with them !
