My two friends and I will be done with graduation soon. We're from the South, and we wanted a fresh new start in a new place. But we are all so freaking close, that we decided to move to a new place, and settle down there together. So 3 ladies from the South moving up North. I was born in NY, but after being so...

Banks in Princeton, IN

West Windsor is full of suburban developments without a real town center. Princeton is a college town and can be on the pricey side. There are few not so desirable areas though. Red Bank is more affordable, but has not so desirable side too. The positives of Red Bank is that it is surrounded by affluent areas (Springsteen and Bon Jovi don't live that far from the town).

However, you would be better off finding a job 1st and looking for a place to live second. Depending on where you get a job would better determine where to live, the traffic in NJ can be unbearable. All those places aren't really an easy commute to NYC. For a better commute check out Westfield, Cranford, Chatham or Montclair.

Well, Princeton & Red Bank have the better downtown area, and more things to do. Princeton & West Windsor have the better train service to NYC (though the Princeton Junction parking lot doesn't have much available parking). Red Bank is the most diverse, if that matters to you. The schools are pretty good and crime is fairly low in all those areas.

I second the suggestion of Montclair. It's much closer to NYC and a nice town, to boot!

Of the three you're mentioned, I'd pick Princeton, hands down. There's far more to do and it's more of areal place.
