Name a bank in Richmond,Va that will accept a welfare ID to open an saving account with your picture.?Since 911 it has been hard to open accounts(saving) with Welfare ID's. This is the only thing that I have at the moment and I am trying to save money not spend it, so I can move. | |

most banks ask for a drivers id or some other form of state id.
If they can verify who you are, you should have no problem opening up one.
You can also try online banking
It is about $10 to get a picture ID from the DMV. You'll need the ID for just about anything (getting a job, boarding a plane, buying a bus ticket). Get your ID and then open an account. No bank will do it without it (on-line banks are MORE strict about this since they don't have the ability to see you at account opening).
