Looking for local food bank?

My husband and I are moving and want to donate our non-perishable items to a food bank. We live in Aurora IL. I can't find any that want the food only cash. Can anyone help?

That seems so strange that your local food bank won't accept food donations. You might try calling local churches for suggestions. Perhaps they could direct you to a family who is in need that would appreciate the food. Or, if you have a local soup kitchen, women's shelter, or the like, that might be an option. Best of luck to you my friend.

It's very odd for the food banks to not have a need for food. The two food banks that I work with rely on food donations from individuals as well as corporations.

Here's a link to help you find additional food bank resources.
