Banks in Portland, IN

Portland has many fine banks and—especially many fantastic credit unions.

If you are being charged any fees at all, close all your accounts at PNC and open up an account at Unitus in Portland. There are a few branches around town https://maps.google.com/maps?q=unitus&hl... but its excellent website can do most everything you might need. https://unitusccu.com/

If PNC costs you nothing, you might want to curtail its use in case you move back and open an account here at a local institution for ATM convenience and whatnot.

PNC is a regional bank headquartered in Pittsburgh PA. (That's what the P stands for.) They have no branches in Oregon.

If you plan to return to the east you could keep your account open, but if not, I'd open an account at a bank in Portland, move your money there, then close the PNC account.

PNC is the 5th largest bank in the US by number of branches and 6th largest bank in the US by total of deposits. But it has no branches west of St. Louis.

I would keep the account at PNC until you know for sure that you will be staying in Portland.
