Fees for using your debit card will vary based on the chequing package you use. Two of Meridian’s packages offer unlimited debit transactions (including ‘cash back’ where available), our Electronic Package and our Convenience Plus Package.
If you’re looking for a variety of payment options, our Plus package might be of interest to you. In addition to unlimited debit transactions, this package also includes unlimited in-branch withdrawals, transfers and bill payments; 1 free basic cheque order per year; 4 free Canadian dollar money orders per month; 15% off safety deposit box rentals; ABM withdrawals; online bill payments and free certified and traveler’s cheques.
Our Members have instant access to their savings. You can have two savings accounts and have two debit cards for a joint account.
You can use your savings account(s) to make ABM withdrawals or point of sale purchases. However, as with most savings accounts, there may be additional charges. To avoid these costs, these types of transactions should be made through your chequing account.

Credit Unions are not a Bank. Several banks offer no fee checking accounts, and limited pretty much based on your credit rating, their cards work on pretty much all ABM's online payments are normally free as well, U can do all kinds of transactions on line between accounts pay bills etc. I would check into a bank instead of Credit Unions. Although interest on loans seem to have a better advantage with Credit Unions
