From what Im getting, you are making a mistake by assuming that money will always be there. You grew up in poverty and now have no worries. bad things happen. You cannot assume that money will always be handed to you. What if your parents stop paying your bills? Then you would be in trouble, right? You are 26. Its time to stop playing and grow up. You need to realize what is the responsible way to handle your money. That, sir, is entirely up to you.
People who grew up with little to no money handle finances differently when they get older. Me, I didnt have any then and I dont have much now so I just roll with it. It is what it is. But I know people who grew up poor and now have tastes they cannot afford (refuse to eat certain things or 'budget' type meals). I call it "Champagne tastes on a beer budget'.
You dont mention much about any 'yearly plans' aside from finishing college, and that in itself is a start. Your problem here seems to be about finances. Look, most people are having trouble putting food on the table for thier children and keeping a roof over their heads with the economy the way it is. You need to start actually appreciating what you have at this point and stop spending foolishly.
