Did you sign a agreement for that amount promising to pay ? If no then Dont do anything unless they contact you about the matter. I got a new car 8 years ago and told the dealership that i didnt have enough money for insurance to get it off the lot, (this was after the deal was done already). Insurance guy was there and the dealership paid for my first 6 month policy and said i had to pay them back asap. I said ....sure... Lol never went back and never heard a word about it. 8 years ago now. They probably put it in the price of your car anyway. Called it a upgrade of some sort on the itemized list.

Well you have the statement does it include the thousand? I doubt it and the dealer would be a fool to let you have the car until the money is paid.
Or you can listen to Erik and maybe become a common thieve like he is.

Of course you do. You signed and agreed to the terms and conditions. If you decide not to, your car will be repossessed.

Never

Unless its tacked onto the loan, you owe it. And the dealer can repo it if you don't pay.
