I'm interviewing at Wells-Fargo (Wachovia) bank tomorrow and it's a group interview with about 10 people. What questions do they ask? Has anyone been through this process? Also I was thinking about what to wear I was thinking a gray sweater dress with tights, and a black long sleeve shirt underneath,...

I would not suggest wearing a sweater dress and tights.

i would say wear a suit in a neutral color (like black, brown, grey or blue) with a button up shirt. especially in a conservative industry like banking, you want to avoid trends, youthful look or anything form fitting. wear lower, closed toe heels, little to no jewerly and no perfumes. make sure your cell phone is completely OFF and don't bring in a purse, a briefcase or portfolio will look more professional.

before you go, i would review the following:
-know your resume backwards and forwards
-know how YOU will contribute to the bank
-know what the job description is backwards and forwards
-make sure to prepare a few questions for the interviewer (nothing about pay, vacations or time off)

I would wear something sophisticated and conservative. If the sweater dress is at all tight, wear something else. Wear hose of some sort, don't go bare legged. I guess you don't have a suit of any type? Do you have a nice skirt, and a twin set or shirt and sweater that look put together? Nice shoes, but they don't have to be heels. Subtle make up and hair. I've never been to a group interview, but I've been in banking for almost 20 years.

I would wear a blue, black, or grey suit, with a plain blouse of similar color, one strand of pearls with matching earrings, a plain conservative watch, wedding band or engagement ring if appropriate, and no other jewelry.

Dark low heeled plain pumps. Do not wear fragrance as this can be offensive.

In general, dress conservatively.

if you're gonna fall to one side or another, head towards conservative. think meeting-your-husband's-persnickety-grand...
Think of things you really want to know.
what will be expected of you on a day-to-day basis?
will your job include any odd jobs at the end of the day?

also, be confident. theres several other people there so you want to stand out! walk in as though you own the place, you're a princess. courtly and polite and striking. keep a smile or a pleasent expression on your face even if you're freaking out inside. whenever i'm really worried or uncomfortable i always think of this joke my grandpa told me one time. he said, just before a family photo: "say sex! it makes you smile bigger!" and he has the right idea. carry yourself like you have a secret. you had great sex last night and theres more to come.
also, consider adding a scarf to your outfit, but don't wear it around your neck, wrap it over your head like a sixties movie star. grace kelley type. it may feel weird or not-you but its feminine, striking and dressy.also, theres just something kind of mysterious and inherently interesting about a woman in a scarf like that. plus, you may find you like it and wear them that way- i do.
