I am interested in donating to a food bank in Torrance, ca. What do I have to do?I was searching but can't seem to find a location in my area to donate. My prefrence would be to help seniors who are on fixed incomes. Anyone know a place to donate? Also is donating food a write off? I don't care either way I will do it but its a bonus and was just wondering. | |

It depends on the organization if the donation is tax deductible. Ask them to find out.
The food bank near me has been having a hard time keeping their shelves full, many more clients, very unusual for the area.

Torrance is having its annual food bank
drive, basically, on Saturday May 9th,
you put nonperishable (i.e) crackers,juice,
canned soup,tuna, cereal, somewhere near
your mailbox, and the mailman will take it
