Go to Savannah. Take the tour of the historic district by bus or by horse and carriage. It is very interesting and not very expensive. Be sure to stop in DC and go to the Smithsonian Museum (it is free) and there are a lot of different museums that make up the smithsonian. Do not stay in a hotel in DC-do VA or MD as that is much cheaper. There is a best western in MD that is pretty cheap. Of course, there is NYC. Chinatown for a dim sum breakfast, century 21 for shopping, the list is endless.
