Huntington Bank Hiring Process?

Share |

Has anyone had experience with Huntington hiring process? If so, I would love to know a few things Last Thursday I had an interview at Huntington Bank, and the lady told me that it could take up to four weeks to see if I got the job... Was this basically her way of lightly telling me, that I did not get the job....

Below are two interview experiences shares by applicants who interviewed at Huntington Bank, and one person stated it took four weeks. Good Luck!

Personal Banker at Huntington Bank-Received and Accepted Offer
Interviewed Dec 2011 in Brunswick, OH (took 4+ weeks)
First off it took forever to start the position after accepting the offer. My first interview was over the phone. Second was a person to person interview with the branch manager of the branch I worked in. The interview was very unprofessional and rude. Almost like interviewing with military personal. I came back to meet with a personal banker who had no idea I was coming. Communication did not exsist fluently at that location. After all that I met with the district manager who told me anything he could to get me in the door. Many empty promises were made that day. Then i took the drug test and handed over everything besides my kitchen sink for the backround check. They wanted original copies of my highschool transcripts, completed credits from my university, along with info about what hospital I was born in. Then i started my first day. That was the day I was given all codes keys and my new office and was told " here ya go, get to work"

Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, an IQ/Intelligence Test, a Skills Test, a Personality Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Personal Banker at Huntington Bank-Interviewed and No Offer
Interviewed Apr 2012 in Canton, OH (took 2 weeks)
I applied online and received a call from a HR representative two days later asking to schedule a phone interview. The next day I had a phone interview which lasted about 30 minutes. Pretty normal questions. They asked a lot of customer service questions, how confident you are in approaching customers, etc. Also, they went through my resume in great detail. When the interview was over, the HR rep said that I should be receiving a call in the next couple days from the branch manager to schedule a 1:1 interview. The call didn't come so a few days later I called her back and she said she didn't know why I didn't receive a call back yet. I have a friend who works for Huntington and they personally called the branch manager, who said they would "definitely call me" because they were eager to fill the spot. A couple more days went by and I still hadn't heard from the branch manager so I called him myself. His response to my call: "Thanks for calling, but we filled the spot a week and a half ago." I found out that the branch manager had actually hired someone BEFORE he told my friend he would call. This manager was very rude. In my opinion, if you tell someone you are going to call them, say it before you hire someone, not after. Not impressed with Huntington's staff.
