I have a resume but I feel like its just basic and doesn't sound as good as it could. I need ideas on what else I can put on it. I've only had one job so far which is my current job. I work at a theater and I don't think that's enough to put on my resume. If anyone can help me fix it id be very...

Here's some tips...

- drop the objective = objectives haven't been part of a well written resume since the late 1980s. An objective tells what you want to do. Employers don't care about that... We want to know why you would be an asset at our company. You can write a summary for this.

- drop the corny phrases = an employer does not want to pay someone to "make smiles happen". Movie theater employee's are not exactly know for "making smiles happen"

- Make sure everything on your resume is quantifiable = "fast typing" = what does this mean and what are you comparing it against.

- don't put things on your resume that don't highlight your background. A 3.0 gpa from a generic junior college in a basic degree is not something you want to show off.
