Do some research on abstract expressionism. You could totally go Jackson Pollock on your piggy bank (just splattering layers of paint on it)! But there are plenty of other expressionist painters you could try modeling after. Here's a few names:
Franz Kline
Willem De Kooning
Hans Hofmann
Jasper Johns (look at his other work besides the flag stuff, like Grey Alphabet)
Ellsworth Kelly (His pixel-like collages could be very obnoxious on a piggy bank)
Joan Mitchell
Lee Krasner

Well do you have a favorite band? Use there logo or just make it a pink pig with Pola dots if meny different colars :-)

you can paint squares in different colors, or zebra patterns, or both. then write ur name in a funky way on top of it all. you could also draw things that express u, like ur hobbies, desires, dreams, friends, feelings ect...
