Lov4nzyx has the best answer. I can't think of any parent that would give their child...of any age, a debit card...which gives that person direct access to the parent's checking account.

Your best bet is to go to any bank, and just buy a Visa gift card...which you can use anywhere a credit card is accepted. Just keep track of your spending, so you know how much you have left...you don't want to give it to pay for a $20 lunch, and then find out you only have $7.50 left on it!

I'm not sure specifically about those 2 banks, but why don't you take the money you want to spend on vacation and get a Visa Gift card from a bank? There is a fee (maybe $5) to purchase the gift card? But it's just like a debit card and you don't have to carry cash! There is no expiration on the money either!

giving a 13 year old a debit card......now there's a dumb idea

Have your parents get one for your savings account. If you don't have a savings account or your parents don't want you to have access to your savings account then you are out of luck.
