It's pretty obvious that the Heat are going to be big playoff contender next year.
I would start Mario Chalmers over Marcus Banks. I don't think the Heat are going to sign many other free agents. The Heat are probably going to stand pat to make a run at the sweepstakes of the 2010 free agent class. So Chalmers and Chris Quinn are going to battle for the starting spot. I think the Heat are done with Jason Williams.

Let's just say that his life depends on whether or not he starts over Banks. For someone who hit the biggest shot in Kansas Jayhawks history and one of the most clutch shots I've seen in a NCAA championship game, he probably made the worst decision by declaring for the draft and listening to people in his ear telling him he would be a first round draft pick. Now he doesn't have any money that's guaranteed and he has to play for a spot on the team. I was shocked to even see him drop to the 2nd round. I think he has a good chance but it depends on how he practices and if he leaves a good impression with his coaches. Good luck to him!!!
My firm belief is that Chalmbers backs up a free-agent signing for maybe a year or two and then he takes over. The Heat are on the rise with Beasley, Wade, Chalmbers and Marion. I see them winning 30 games at the very least this season.
